Cam guestion ? following on from my release question, when moving the cams on my bow, (which I am comfortable doing}, do both cams have to be moved the same amount, or can I mix n match, if you get my drift, when both cams are exactly the same, I am either a tad too long, or a tad short, hence the mix n match question...as always, my thanks for your help ![]()

Some cams can " mix and match " others only work when set equally. Cam and a half have to be equal. If you can find the set-up information for your cams on the Hoyt website, you will know for sure. If not, you can set it too short and shorten the cables increases draw length) to get the in between draw you want. Or set it too long and shorten the bowstring, to get the same effect. I hope this helps. Another way is to change the d-loop to get things as you want them. If you use that route, make sure you have a nice face contact with the bow string.

Hi Zanda, Just remembered the cams that can be used mix and match were the older ones where draw length was adjusted by using a different slot on the cam for the bowstring to run through into the centre to reach its fixing peg. Some have inner modules that can be rotated, I would expect those to work in matching positions.
