Not on a compound but did when I shot recurve. A Loesch grip. Expensive but beautiful and you can't go wrong. www.bowgrips.com

I've made my own grips ever since I started shooting. So far the only bow that didn't need one is the Ultra tec I have at present. It is well worth the effort in my opinion.

Just goes to show that when it comes to grips its all in the "eye of the beerholder"...

I've added a Hoyt Accugrip to my Ultratec as I just couldnt get comfortable with the side plates. Looked at Loesch too, they come in many varieties and my advice would be try one if you can before you buy anything off the shelf. You may be able to get close then adapt it.

No reason why you shouldn't modify your existing grip if you find the stock grip doesn't suit for whatever reason... milliput 2-part epoxy putty or car body filler can be used to modify the grip, and can then be sanded/filed to suit... many happy hours await

Well hello there!

Mr Tuck!

Good to see you around! I was wondering where you guys had been!

Hoyt grips are ok, but they 'dun half' slip in your hand, if you have particularly greasy hands like me then your need to get some grip to put over it! Be aware that it may take you some time to figure out where your hand is best positioned. Just remember to be positive about the shot and feel confident. Don't let your mind wonder onto your hand position otherwsie it will go to pot in a big way! Also remember that, although you may make the slightest adjustment; compounds are much less forgiving than recruves so don't expect things to go brilliantly for a while. Then again you could show me up at 100 yards again like you did last week! Darn it!

Not sure if that helps but hey - some friendly advice from a fellow 100 yarder!

Skate.
