| I am sure Marcus is still shooting 300 Triples and from the last post I have seen he is 28" 60#and 180grain points, I am sure you will be ok with 300. http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...ead.php?t=1529

| Marcus is shooting using a release aid, I'm using fingers, big difference, at the moment I'm using Gold Tip 55-75's they are a 400 spine 29" and fitted with a 100 grain point with a fairly hard button. If I remember correctly from the post on tripple spines (300' s) come out at about 430, too soft.Navs stop at 430 as well and the Gold Tips I am shooting at the moment are the same dia. as ACC's. |

| Yea looks like 300 are about 430 had not realised finger release made such a difference, but thinking of how the string will move on release I guess it makes sense. You could always buy some Triples and a release - same price as some X10's .

| I use Triple 300's and 120 grain points. Yeah I think you are screwed there Jerry, it's X10's for you.......or is it. Call me crazy, but have your considered Easton's Full Metal Jackets? They are thinner than a Gold Tip, come in stiff spines, and the mass of them means that they drift as much as an ACE, and they are reasonably priced, in fact cheaper than Triples. Plus you get an alloy coacting, which is nicer to extract from targets. I want to try them for field, but Beiter don't have Hunter nocks for them. ![]() Another one would be Easton Axis shafts. Avoid the ST Epics though, they are alsmost as thick as Gold Tips.

| Marcus you are not crazy. What point weight would you suggest I was thinking of around 125 grains to keep a good FOC because of the greater mass of the arrows. My draw lenght is such that I could go down to 28 inches arrow lenght and that should allow me to use a 400 spine arrow which means I could stay at 17/64. What do you think? |

| 125 should work nice, will be quite a heavy shaft, so hopefully you can make the distance OK.

| Well James Park had some of these at indoor tonight. 400's weighed in at 420 grains He has calculated they will drift less than an ACE and about the same as a Navigator He shot 2 Vegas rounds with them, both 300's, one with 21x and one with 19x. (580 FITA). Very good for a thin arrow. So he is very impressed so far, for half the price of a Navigator they appear to be excellent target arrows, as long as you have a bow fast enough to push them out.
