Any one out there had any dealings with the sure-loc fiber pins. I am having trouble understanding how the fiber is secured to the pin.
The instructions read.
1. Using nail clippers, cut fiber to desired length.....No problem so far
2. Slip one end of fiber into the hole in the pin....again no problem
3.Using heat source (do not use open flame) no hotter than 160F (72C) carefully expand both ends of fibre......now I become confused
Putting in hot water does nothing
By heating a knife the ends of the fiber can be belled out (similar to heating the ends of a D loop). This means the fiber can not escape the pin, but the fiber is free to move through the pin, I could glue the fiber in place, but wonder if I am not missing some thing obvious with the instructions...
