my thanks

thank you to all that have taken the time to put down their thoughts. its much appreciated, my goal has always been to assist with steady aim, the vibration bit has been taken care of, tho I guess if I get a little more from the new rod it won't hurt

Beiter longrod

I totally agree with Adam, the Beiters are bad news in the wind.
I was shooting with a friend recently, the wind was real gusty but he was scoring a lot better than me (we`re about the same level) i said to him "F*** it i`m all over the place" he obviously knew the problem because he said to try his longrod, which i did, and it made a tremendous difference. Beiters are excellent rods but they don`t fare well in the wind!

finally jumped in and bought one

well I bought the cartel, Balkan at 33 inch's and the shock absorber for the end, and it also has one shock/tuning block, which when I first saw it I thought "humph what good is that thing" glad to say first impressions of said block were wrong it work's in both respects, and its had an instant effect, groups are tighter, only shot with it twice so far, but am well pleased with it, construction is good, one thing I don't like ( and its my thing ) is the blocks on the rods are white, I would have prefered em to be black so the they suit my black and chrome bow, but hey, I aint REALLY complaining, just nit picking bow seems better set up with it because of the length of the rod I get better drop forward of the bow after shot, all in all I have a better set up bow, which is I believe, the name of the game.

But what radio stations can you pick up with the Balkan rod? Members using them at my club are very disappointed at the reception.

I was dissapointed with the quality of the adjustable blocks. Splits and cracks around the bolts. Good luck with yours.

It was not just mine. Another guy at the club bought one. Same condition. He also bought the short rods to match. Except they dont. They have different coloured centres than the long rod. Still had cracks and splits though. Keep an eye on them. If you take the pressure off the unit, you may see the cracks open up. Do not use superglue to repair them, they dissove.
