| I have an STS I got rid of my serving cutters (string suppressors) on my outback and installed an STS I have since shot three new PB's. I am not saying this is down to the STS but rather that it has not had a detrimental effect on the bows performance. Last time I removed the suppressors on the bow it was noisy and shot awful so I bought some more. I think greydog uses one and I know he is shooting well

| sts I am making my own version because I think that as an Engineer I can make a better looking item than the STS's I have seen on their site (also cheaper!) It's the big clunky block that just looks so crude to me. I'm sure it does a good job but I can make a smaller one. Sounds like it's worth the effort. |

| Yes I have one, I built my first one and it looked like something from Scrapheap Challange The first STS used a large simms stopper on a plastic block and was difficult to set up for maximum contact with good cable clearance, but the new ones have been modified. The plastic block is gone and there is just a soft rubber boot, so it's easier to set up. I believe the rod is just an aluminium cable guard, so it's most likely solid.I've found they do the job, but ignore the hype about making your bow more accurate and on longer axle to axle length bows ( 40"+) you might find a slight increase in noise, but they definately make the bow smoother, especially recurves........although FITA have banned them for use on recurves, and you can't have the rod anywhere near your arm on a compound under the new regs. |

| Helps save the bow On archery talk the US archers are talking about how having an STS fitted has helped save bows when they are dry fired including bow techs which seem to suffer badley when dry fired

| I have been using the twin STS on a Bladerunner for a few days now and I am very pleased. I was getting some wrist slap from the string and this has now stopped. The setup took a little while because of the design of the Bladerunner but it seems to do what they claim. |

| Home made version I am just waiting for a couple of bits to complete my version then I will post some pics. When they become available,I will use the new Hoyt stopper but until then I will be using a Sims long rod damper. |
