| Mike, Have you tried the Golden Key rest as a drop away? And the dictionary agrees that the bowstring pulls the arrow. ![]() |

| You did... If the thing works I'll soak everything that shouldn't move in loctite, or maybe even superglue. From Alternative web site: Quote:

I may have been doing this I'm not sure. The rest tension was set low so that it could not support the weight of the arrow before drawing. At some point about 3 or 4 inches before full draw the rest popped up. Is that what you mean, or is there another configuration of the rest I don't know about? If it is a proper drop away how do you pull the tongue up? I much prefer the construction and adjustment of the Golden Key Premier. |

| Mike, the brass knurled wheel that you use to adjust the spring tension on the arm, will turn the opposite way. If you go from stiff to light, and on to zero, you can continue so the rest actually springs down if you pull it up by hand. Once the tension is set to spring down, attach a rubber tube or similar to the cable to do the pulling up.(as you have done with the Spig.)To make the lifting easier, replace one of the short locking screws that grip the arm(opposite side from the knurled wheel) , with a longer one. I replaced the one that acts as a stop for the upward spring of the arm.It is at a good angle for pulling down away from the line of the arrow. I am pretty sure the thread is M3. You could possibly "borrow" one from the Spig just to check. The nice thing about it is, you can convert it back again very quickly by turning the knurled wheel to where it used to be. Leave the tubing on and do a direct comparison, see what the differences are if any. |

| Once upon a time, it was. Strangely, most of them have changed...

| It`s an excellent rest, and properly set up will not give you any problems. I,ve been using them on two bows for over 3 years now and i`ve never had any problems at all. |

Like everything else in archery, do whatever works for you, but unless you have a specific problem that can only be solved by a drop-away I strongly suggest keeping it simple. |
