Axis FMJ Nock options

Hi

Just has a delivery of these (400s) from Bowsports as my Navs have been taking a right pounding during indoor shooting.

Bowsports do not have any spare nocks currently so I only have the ones that are supplied with the shafts. Are there any alternative nocks that can be used on these? They reckon its going to be a few more weeks before they get any spares.

Thanks

I'm in a similar situation, I've just bought a set of Axis 400's (not FMJ) from Centreshot, (thanks Jan great arrows) and while the X-nock is good I would like to use an alternative (G-nock). I read somewhere that you can use the uni-bush from the ACC's but I dont know which spine.

If its spare nocks you need, try Centreshot, Jan had no problem in getting me the arrows, points and spare nocks within a few days.

There have been a a couple of discussions about this and as far as we can make out you have to use the Hunter X-Nock as supplied with the shafts, I bought a spare Dozen when I bought my shafts this summer. Marcus was on a quest to find an alternative but as far as I am aware he has had no luck yet.

I would be careful about using these shafts indoors as so far the only nock I have broken tore out the side of the shaft killing the whole arrow, these are great shaft IMHO Pound for Pound the best value shafts on the market at the moment but as they do not have uni bushes I don't think they would be the best arrow for shooting in groups indoors. You would be much better getting a set of Platinum's for indoor work, I Just ordered a set of 2315's from Targetcraft £36.80 for 8 made up, I have also ordered a dozen spare nocks .

At the price they are I am not too worried about them being shot up in groups.

I have a set of Platinum Plus I shoot on Triple Spots but we have a double Portsmouth on Wednesday Evening and I know I will need spare nocks.

If you are really desperate and can get to Lutterworth one evening or Coventry during the working Day I could let you have my spares for cost plus postage to replace them, mine are the 500 shafts but I am sure it is a common nock.

Either way let me know how the shafts hold up to indoor use, I think the damage my shaft received was one of those freak accidents, but I am a little curious.

Thats a really kind offer Paul. I'll let you know how the indoor thrash goes on Wednesday and how they perform.

BTW what points and weight do you have in yours?

I went for the SIB but I took the 100g and 125g so I could test them

I had the inserts and 90 Grain screw in points so 106 grain total, think that gave me around 15% FOC, the 500's are a grain an inch lighter that the 400's and I only have a short draw so they are 26.5" arrows.

Outdoors at distance they were a massive improvement over my platinum's, I went from Just missing out on a Bowman Score on a New National to making it with 30+ points to spare 1 week later with no sight marks and 2 misses at 80 yards .

Easton Unibushes 3-18 size unibushes I believe fit down the back, then you can use a quality nock like the Beiter 12/2 Hunter.

I tried a 3-18 point which should be the same size,it was a little loose. I'm still looking. I'll post as soon as I find some thing.
