| You'll have to say what compound he's shooting Kae. The type of cam makes a difference. Once you know that if you can borrow a couple of spines in the right box from the Easton charts to see what works best you'll do OK. Most compounders do like to shoot fat Alloys indoors and carbons out, but can't go far wrong with a set of Nav's with at least 100g in the point. Has he got room to increase the draw length on the bow he's currently using? |

| Give me some idea about his bow Kae. To start with platts are AOK indoors (many do very well with them and they arnt to dear) Ive gone on to using Axis FMJ's very impressed with them see the threads from Marcus. PM with his setup and i will run it through OnTarget for you.

| Yes, there is room for the bow to be wound up, but I don't want him to, as he went through a phase of "bigger is better", which did nothing for his form, and I was worried about him doing damage to himself whilst he's still growing. The bow is a Hoyt, but I can't remember which, long axle with cam 1/2's, fairly recent (last 5 years). Agree Nav's would be great, but the budget won't quite stretch that far. If at all possible then something less than ACC's would be even better. Thoughts of Axis FMJ's, or something similar. Kae. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Axis FMJ 500's would be the go, hwoever they are heavy which may cause him problems making 90m if he has to shoot that far. Ordinary xis shafts would also work well, but you lose the alloy protection. Another worth considering is the ST Epic. Thinner than a Lightspeed, tough and cheap. Easton's target offerings in the low end suck actually, so look at the hunting end for great value.

| I don't know Marcus about the FMJ's loosing him a 90 meter mark. FMJ's do start out slower but they carry well.We really need Pauls input here. He has used FMJ's and ACC's and will be able to tell how much sight height He lost with the 500 FMJ. |

| I lost enough with my FMJ 400's that my 400 Sureloc would not give me enough room to make 90m. Have had to do some moving around of my rest setup to accomodate it. (I run quite a high anchor too which contributes) May not be a problem, however worth mentioning.

| Good point Marcus I have a low anchor and shooting off fingers, a slower set up. |

| I would definitely recommend the FMJ's, but as Jerry Said Hitting 90M may be the issue, I can hit 90 with my 500's and 90 grain points (add 16 grains for insert 106 total) and I only pull 53# at 26", I have a little movement left on the sight and could always tweak the peep a little if I had to. How heavy were his X7's. At 26.5" my FMJ's with Spin wings are 360 Grain all in, add 20 grains in for the extra weight and I think they will still be lighter than his old X7's (assuming they were 500's), it really depends on how far he used to shoot with these versus what he wants to shoot next year. The ACC's I was using were shorter and much lighter (shaft and points) they went like a rocket but I was having a few issues with rest clearance when I was using them (shoot through prong rest), and I was changing setup before going to FMJ's so I don't have a direct comparison for the amount of height I lost, at a guess it was a good 2 or 3 feet at 90M.

| Triples Triples are a similar pice to ACC's but give you the skinniness of navs / ace's Greydog shoots triples outdoors and having shot with him he has no problems getting them to go in the 'X'
