back tension release

I finally managed to sort out the 90 degree jaw on the back tension release.
The outside could do with a polish up but for now this is what it looks like.[IMG][/IMG]

Fanks. It's no beauty but it fits my hand and has a wide range of weight settings on one spring. There is very little twist on the D-loop either and it is faster than the Loesch as I had to speed up the drop away rest to clear the fletchings when I swapped over.

It sure looks good, but the test of the pudding is in the eating.

Has it made a difference to your scores?

Kae.

Prototype? Prototype? That's mark iv, I'll have you know!!!!
Seriously, it could take me ages to make it look more like the fashionable ones from Carter etc. but I would gain nothing from that. It works as intended and the earlier versions did give results that were as good as the Loesch I have.
This is better than the earlier versions so I am hoping that it will shoot at least equally well. I have no doubt that the week link in my chain is the operator. A hooter shooter would give a true picture of the accuracy of the release but without one I'm going to have to improve this operator; might make me shoot better. Perhaps I will call it a training aid? "This release aid encourages the user to shoot higher scores." After all the work, it would seem silly to shoot lower scores with it. That should keep me on my toes.
