D-loop failure!

Earlier today i had a d-loop break (my first) not being too concerned i put a brand new piece on. This one broke on the very first draw (2\3rds draw) and i belted myself in the face. If anyone is using rope that looks like this (below) i suggest you be very careful. Has anyone had similar problems?

I was given the same material by another archer at one stage. A couple of people saw it befor I put it on my bow, and warned me not to use it. I went and bought a better material a couple of days later and have never had a problem with the new one.

I use Brownell camo loops. They have never let me down, even over the summer when i was shooting at least 500 arrows a week.

A guy at our club recently launched an arrow into the wilderness when he used rope in his release that he bought from a chandlers merchant, looked like good kit and probably was for it's intended purpose, but it had Kevlar in it's make up and for those who can remember Kevlar bow strings we know what happened to them!

wouldn't be surprised if they got it from B&Q and relabeled it!

Hmmm, you got me thinking now.
I`ve been in touch with BCY and they`re looking into it. At their request i`m sending them some of the rope.
