Have you tried Wales Archery Specialists? (01291 420321). They had a big stock of Axis FMJs although I gather the 400s have been flying out and they have only a few sets of 400s left until next shipment....

Worth ringing and asking them though.

Even if Marcus was making money in this country from selling Axis FMJ's which he is not. Any good retailer will ensure that his customers come back by telling the truth about his products and recommending the good ones.Simple economics, if you swindle some one they will not come back to you and buy again. Add to that the fact that the arrows are cheaper and therefore the percentage mark up brings in less so he would make less on selling these than other more expensive arrows, then what was suggested does not make sense.
As for the results from UK shooters we have only just got out side for any meaningful shooting, where as down under they are just coming to the end of the summer and have done a lot of outdoor shooting, remember southern hemisphere!

I took Marcus and others advice on this thread and ordered a dozen 29" 400 125g.

I might only be a beginner, but I have these, 6x XX75 PP 2315, some Beman Carbons and an old Easton Gold coloured dozen I inherited.

The FMJs fly so much better than the others, I'm the only one in the club so far to have received them, but everyone who's felt them and borrowed them to test likes them and will be ordering.

(I know the 2315s are linecutters, but in south UK this Easter there was no wind at all and I was shooting 20m and 30m only!!)

Thankyou to Marcus for starting this thread!

Also, even if Marcus had a hidden sales agenda, (which he doesn't), remember from the other thread that he was out of stock and desperate enough to be trying to buy a set from the UK ,as Australian distributors had none and he personally needed replacements for a forthcoming competition.

This is not the act of someone trying to sell £85/dozen arrows to others. If he was trying to stuff people with sales, he'd be trying to get you all to buy something that costs the same as X10 ProTours!

Regards

Ivan

Have had the loan of some fmj's and love them. Find them more forgiving and get tighter group than my xx75.

Marcus has a reputation for being fairly vocal when it comes to his opinions on equipment. If fmj's were crap we'd know about it!!!
There are a number of traders on this forum and none of them are using postings on the site to market themselves. Instead we are getting unbiased advice from these people, something we should be gratefull for!
