| I think the fletchings can go fairly close to the nocks for best steerage. Too close is difficult with some fletching jigs. Too far away/forward can cause the fletchings to strike the riser or rest as they are on the wrong part of the shaft to clear |

| As close to the back as possible as long as there is no chance of them touching your fingers (assuming you are recurve).

| I usually set the back edge of the fletch on the 1" mark on the blade of the jig. It seems to be about right for clearance. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
