Chocolate Lite - 3 or 4 finger version or Insatiable 3?

My second Spigarelli D-Loop release arrived and although it works, it is nowhere as smooth a release as the non-d-loop version I already own.

I am therefore taking everyones advice and returning it and upgrading to a better one. I don't like the look of the Ember.

Therefore it looks like the newer Chocolate Lite or existing Insatiable 3. (Chocolate Addiction is dated 2004 so new is better?)

The Chocolate Lite is available in three and four finger design. I am having to buy blind, mail order, and quickly (as I'm returning another product), so need to know which is generally preferred. What is the thinking, 3 or 4 fingers better/easier?

The Insatiable is £5 cheaper. Thoughts?

Bear in mind I'm a newbie, but I do have a second bow, a Hoyt Supertec, which once I've learnt on the Browning, I will be using.

Regards

Ivan

Releases are a personal thing, Is there any way you can get hold of these to try somone at the club or another shop? IMO It is more how it feels to you in your hand that is important.

No! There are no shops anywhere near Bournemouth Uk!!

I bought the release from Quicks, and don't want them to get funny about me having it "to long", so need to make mind up quickly. I won't have a chance to get to them anytime soon.

Regards

Quicks catalogue only shows the three finger chocolate lite.
3 and 4 finger versions of chocolate addiction.
The little finger never seems to do much of the pulling when I shoot, so perhaps in that sense, the 3 finger versions are just as good. How many fingers are you using at present or on your other release? The feel of the hand at the references can be different when changing releases, that might be worth bearing in mind when choosing. Have you tried asking at Bournemouth Archery Club? There will be some of the releases there I imagine.

I have a fondness for both Chocolates primarily because of the single action cocking mechanism

Have found the 4 finger version gives me steadier hold/aim

The addiction offers more range of adjustment as the arm the thumb release is on is articulated ...but the Lite has the more positive action

It is possible to tailor the Lite by purchasing add ons in the form of extra arms and different triggers etc which will bridge that gap[altservices:release aid:accessories] so unless the shape of the Addiction is much more comfortable for you ...go Lite

Just my 2c

Thankyou for the heads up about the adjustability!
