Question Hoyt Ultra 38

Anyone got one or had a go with one?
Thinking of getting a new bow and looking at this as an option.
Any opinions on it or suitable alternatives?

Are you thinking of selling the old Dually? I am always on the lookout for good finger compounds and my memory serves me well the Bow Tech was a 40" A to A.

I will be when I eventually get my new bow - so many to choose from!
However the Dually is only 38" A to A. If you're still interested I can let you know when I do get round to selling it.

I have been shooting 3 hours in a shop (thanks for the Quicks) with an UltraElite a 38 Ultra and a 38 Pro. Finally I bought a 38 Pro because I felt that one a little bit more comfortable to my shooting style.

My groups were better with the 38 Ultra, I have been hit my nocks without peep and a proper sight (it was just a pin fixed with a two sided tape to the riser).
The risers are the same (38 Ultra, 38 Pro) the difference is only in the limbs. The 38 Ultra has XT1000 limbs, the 38 Pro has XT2000.

If you can, try 2 or 3 different models with different cams.

I went from an Allegiance to a 38 Ultra about 6 weeks ago and my scores have gone up in every round I have shot since the swap.

The only thing that took some getting used to was the soft stop compared to the Bowtech;s hard stop.

I see you opted for the cam & 1/2 over the vector cam - did you get the chance to shoot them both? Much difference?

They didn't have any 38 with the new C2 or Vector. (January)
So I bought a C&1/2, but I am happy with that.

Try taking out the little rubber buffers on the cable stops on the cams.
I have done this on my Trykon XL and it now has a nice hard wall.
Having custom strings and cables made from 452X also helps.
