Tuning Help

I have just changed the string and cables on my bow and also bought new arrows, so I thought I would check the tune. Using paper tuning I am getting a two inch tear with the fletchings top left, and about 30 degrees above horizontal. I have played with the centershot but can't seem to get rid of it.

I then thought maybe it was me so went back to my old arrows and perfect.

Old arrows are X7 2314 29" 165 pro points, new arrows are Axis fmj 400 27" with 125 points.

Any thoughts?

Other options- Play with nocking pont/rest height or play with the sping tension on the rest. If the tension is too high it may be flicking the arrow up. Also you may have clearence issues. Check for similar fletching damage and any colouring around the arrow shelf and arrow rest the same colour of your fletchings. However I think it may be you nocking point causeing the point to hit low from the nock. Left tare? If moving centre shot doesnt change it then I dont know what to suggest.

Fitted new strings and cables.
Is it a 2 cam bow,if it is have you set up he roll over on the cams?
Is the brace height correct.
Is the axle to axle correct.
If all the above is correct then check centre shot with a laser and get a 90 degree nocking point and start paper testing again.
At least you will have a correct starting point to make adjustments from.

Hope this helps

When the strings and cables were replaced, was everything put back as it was before the change?Wheel timing, draw length, ATA, BH. It would seem the answer will be yes as the old arrows are still performing well.
2314 will be fatter than the FMJ's so the arrow rest could be lifted to take that into account. The left tear could be fletching contact with the rest. Give it the powder test.Sometimes a bare shaft will give a better paper test as there are no fletchings to contact with the rest.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up giving up pretending I was working and went outside to enjoy the sun. Took everything off and started again. I don't know what was different but I ended up with good groups out to 50 mtrs, and a near bullet hole.
