Bronte at the start of July - it's Bradford, so you need to camp or find a B&B, but a really nice shoot and usually good weather. Andover at the end of July, very far south but well worth the trip.

Ruth and I are doing the Watership Down National Field Archery Tournament in Kingsclere, Hampshire. It's a GNAS field event.

It takes place over the weekend of 14-15 July, though we're just doing the Saturday.

Here's my diary for July:

1st July, Chester FITA Star, really good venue and exceptionally well run shoot. If you stay for the prize giving you can generally take a copy of the full results sheet with you when you go.

7th & 8th, Bronte Double FITA Star, one of the highlights of the years shooting, (if its nice weather!), another very well run tournament.

14th & 15th Clophill Premier event. First time I am going to this one.

22nd & 23rd Cleve Archers Premier event. Ditto first time there.

28th & 29th Grand Northern Archery Meeting, double York, and what you might call the Northern Counties regional championships.


Alternatively you could do Long Mynd, a double FITA over 4 days from the 28th to 31st.

Will have a look at travel distances for the suggestions, want a York or Fita and needs to be less that an hours drive from home (Lutterworth / J20 M1) otherwise it is an early start and not really fun if i'm knackered before I start.
