EMAS FITA Star and Swimming Gala

We have just returned from this years EMAS FITA Star, this year Welbeck decided to provide enough rain for a swimming gala as well.

Surprisingly there were very few retirements and most managed to shoot till the end.

It must have been one of the wettest, muddiest shoots we have been to this year.

There were some very good scores with special mention to Rikki Westmann who shot a 1352 to take the ladies compound and Simon Scott who shot a 1360 to take the gents compound.

EMAS has so many FITA Stars, its difficult to know which one is THE EMAS FITA Star. Graham commented the other day that you could form a club of EMAS FITA Star Champions. April 22 Kirby Muxloe, 15 July Welbeck and 18 Aug back at KM. Not to mention the EMAS Double FITA Star

Hope the rain didnt get into your ipod.

I think the club is actually called 'Regatta' as I saw an aweful lot of people wearing jackets with 'Regatta' printed on the breast area

Despite the rain there was some good scores (posted already) - http://www.welbeckarchers.co.uk/Docs...tsEMAS2007.pdf

There was so much rain I thought Wendy had shrunk in the wash. Despite scoring 1335 she came second to Rikki. Both ladies shooting above the existing EMAS record but Rikki's shooting was excellent under the appalling conditions.

ipod remained dry!
