Kirby F.I.T.A and double 70M

Anyone shooting next weekend ? i am shooting the double 70M on the Sunday , it will be the biggest competition i have entered so far and my first Metric.

i have 3 targets for the day :

1. hit the target !
2. do not make a prat of myself ( well no more than usual anyway )
3. beat my PB

if you are coming i will see you there , i am on boss 15 with Ben from Merlin (good thinking from the organisers as he will be using the 10 zone and i will be using the rest of the target )

How did the Sunday go?

I shot/swam the Saturday but when the rain woke me up before my alarm on Sunday morning so I thought sod it and turned over.....

I did had the privelige of seeing Morphy Mick in shorts all day on the Saturday. I dont know if that had anything to do with the rain.

I wasn't surprised when you didn't turn up on the Sunday. It was actually a really nice morning and I managed a 644 to Mike's 649. The afternoon was greeted with rain... LOTS of it!!! I barely scraped 600 for the second session but others managed much better than me, with Tom pulling out a 641 (was it?), despite the rain of Biblical proportions. Then the results took over an hour to complete before the awards ceremony where 4-5 of the archers who won a medal were still hanging around.

Overall, not really a worthwhile day but different, to say the least.

Oxford's rain was still worse!

IIRC, it was something like:
Me - 1st with 1296
Michael - 2nd with 1289
Tom B - 3rd with 1269 (?)

You won a distance medal, though I can't for the life of me remember what distance it was... could have been 90m.

Well done on the GMB score though! Have you done any others yet this year?

And I would have got 3rd if it wasn't for that pesky kid! - Never thought I'd ever say that.

God I'm getting Old. I've just realised that my PB is older than Tom Barber....
