2009 Boston Indoor Series

A provisional announcement and schedule for the Boston Indoor Series 2008/9 has now been published - Boston Indoor Archery Series 2008 - 2009 All those interested are asked to note the release schedule for entry forms. Due to the huge over-subscription this year we want to give everyone as much opportunity as possible to know when they can enter.

how will you prevent the club members on the thursday and the competitors at the shoot on the sunday passing entry forms on to all their friends?

presumably all the current champions (and all THEIR friends) will get advance/priority invites?

no places left for the rest of us again then

We won't

Club members arn't likely to pass on the entry forms and if you look at the Dennis Ingham from last year, 16 visitors also shot in the BIS. Of course they could take the entry forms back to their clubs and we can't control that but what we are hoping is that entries will be made and paid on the day. I know of at least 2 who hung on to last years entry form till their fellow club members made their minds up and then missed out themselves because we were full

As for returning champions, we had a good year at Friskney so only 4 went out of the club and with MT going to NZ that means we only have 3 champions from outside clubs and I think all of those attended the Den Ingham last year.

I understand a reminder letter will be sent to those champions regarding the return of the trophy and it will contain an entry form IF they have not entered the DI. This will ONLY allow entry from the champion and not from any fellow club members.
