Question Fletchings

Dear All,

Just wanted to see if anyone has used or is using the K Super Flonite Spin Vanes?

I have been told that they have improved people’s sight marks by as much as 8-10 notches. If this is so I think ill change from my current NAP QuickSpin Vanes.

Please let me know of your experiences with them.

Regards

Paul

I think most fletches would give you better sight marks that the quickspins...

Mate of mine shoots the K vanes and is very happy with them - tough as old boots and easy to fletch.

Easy to fletch with as you can use a normal wing holder, my wife used them for a while but they seemed to damage easily.

She got about 5m at 70m with 40mm Kurly vanes. These are not as easy to fletch as you use tape and you realy need a tool like the Beiter wing holder. However if you are having problems getting distance I would think the Kurly's from Alt Services will give you more. This is based on use on Cartel Triples.

I and my mate use Flonite spins and they are excellent and they can be put on with a normal jig. The straight Flonites are pretty good as well.

Thumbs up

Hi Guys,

Shot last night with my newly fletched arrows, K Super Flonite Spin Vanes. what a difference they made to my sight marks. Shot at 50, 60, 80 and 100yrds and all of my sight marks moved forward. I would now recommend anyone struggling to have comfortable sight marks, especially at long distances to try them.

They are however a little delicate, bent two fletchings on an arrow when I missed at 100yrds. But got plenty left over to be able to re-fletch.

Go buy some

Thanks

Paul

I doubt they make a huge difference between a normal straight vanes (eg EP16's) and K Super Flonite Spin Vanes.
However you will see a HUGE difference between Quickspins and these, as quickspins are very slow vanes (because they are heavy and have an added "kicker" on the rear of the vane.). They spin very quickly, and thus drop like a stone at longer distances.

Glad things are better now.

Kae.

I think MOST other vanes would improve your sightmarks from the Quikspins- the QS are a slow vane, rather like feather (which they are designed to imitate).
