If you where going to upgrade from A/C/C's, which arrow would you go for;

Nav's/Nav FMJ's
Or
A/C/E's

Is the price difference between the two types worth the dent in the pocket?

I would have to agree with Stylisht and say ACE's are worth the extra money

I never really got on with Navs, but I did buy some x10's recently and they are seriously good - just try not to lose them - its too heart breaking. YOu may be lucky and find the right ones on ebay if you look -I did.

Between Nav/NavFMJs and ACEs it also depends on whether weight of arrow is an issue for you- the Navs and NavFMJs are both heavier than ACCs whereas (I think) the ACEs are lighter. Heavier arrow- shorter range for same draw-weight but better downrange speed and wind resistance. Lighter arrow- longer range but more likely to get blown off-course. Depends what you require really- how easily can you reach your longest distance with your current set-up?

It's amazing...

People go and spend 300 quid on a riser, 200 on a set of limbs, 100 on a sight, 150 on a complete set of stabilisers, and more on all the other bits, yet begrudge that extra 60 quid on a dozen arrows.

The ACEs are the better product, just make sure you get heavy points for them.

Wrong, Navs are lighter than ACCs at all spines, and match weight with ACEs at high spines - between 710 and 1000 the Navs are lighter than or the same weight as ACEs. Navs seem to survive hitting the woodwork better than ACEs. So deciding between them is not straightforward - as you'd expect since they are very similar technology - and depends on the spine you need and how confident you are of staying on the boss. (FMJs are heavier than Navs.)

I'm surprised, I had both ACCs and Navs spined for same bow and the ACCs were lighter...... in fact too light, they came in at less than 5gr/lb so I could not shoot them on said bow (they were a hang-over from my recurve) which was why I got the Navs....
