| Having adapted, then made from scratch my own bow grip. I have been interested in what there is on the marketplace. Jager Custom Archery Grips Seems to have some interesting ideas. A higher grip with a rubber palm pad. I saw a bow on Ebay with one of these grips, which are available in any colour combo. There are some positive comments on- TradTalk Traditional Archery....... dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in archery Anyone here tried a Jager grip, any ordering, postal difficulties? |

Fatastic grip, but it does take some getting use to if you don't already have a similar type of grip style. My previous grip was nearly the same shape - after months of playing. The grip certainly promotes consistency and to use it correctly you must maintain a minimum of a 45deg angle or more and ensure you have the pressure point on the pad of your thumb and not the web between your index finger and the thumb. My Grip tooK about 2 weeks to arrive, but it had got held up by customs for 7 days. They stuck a sticker on it stating that I had to pay £13.27. £5.27 VAT and then an £8 Royal Mail charge. I'm still confused as I have not paid anyone. The postie just delivered the parcel to me without asking for payment. ![]() |

| Yes Radsbow, it was yours that I was interested in and pursued the link. How was the grip, would you reccomend it, I try to shoot with a high grip. What was the purpose of the rubber pad. Did the rubber get dirty? Are you getting a Jager for your new bow? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| From what I know, the best method grip is meant to put pressure at the fleshy part below your thumb and not at the webbing(like in the high grip). The rubber pad helps in preventing your hand from slipping.

As was mentioned, the rubber pad helps to stick the grip to your hand. I always had to use tape to stop my hand slipping when sweating or wet, but with the rubber pad it stopped all that. It does pick up a bit of dirt at the start, but after a while it settles in and stops - the pad gets better once used for a while. The pad is a medium - hard rubber, so is solid. I'm having to give up recurve - had 2 disks removed over the years and recurve is just not helping my back whatsoever So am moving to the darkside Don't think I would use one on a compound, even though Jager do produce them and they seem to be popular over in the US, but that could be to do with KiSik Lee's influence and compounds wanting to join in ![]() |

| If I'm not wrong jager started out making grips for compound, so I doubt theres anything to do with KSL

| Yes you are correct. I was referring to the syle of grip that was designed in principal by Kisik Lee / John Meagre and that Jager have developed into a compound style also - but of course, I could have got the wrong end of the stick and it maybe a totally seperate compound style of grip and not a JMB style!! |

| Hah yea the BEST method grip is only for recurve at the moment I guess. If you take a look at the compound grips on the jager site, they're totally different. Still, the idea of the hard rubber is very good. I really like the feel of it.
