Eclipse - Limb alignment....

Does anyone know if it is possible to adjust the lib alignment on an eclpise riser???

I believe the system used is the same as a Helix, but there are stickers saying that it is factory set & cannot be adjusted.

Anyone tried???

Thanks

Its the same washer system as the Helix just with different star bolts on the end. Are you having problems with the riser then!

Have you tried adjusting the alignment on your eclipse????

While looking at some tuning issues at the weekend it was noted that the limbs were out of alignment. A couple of coaches tried to adjust, but it was VERY stiff & we didn't want to force anything. However, the sticker in the limb pocket got us thinking that it might not be stiff as such, but actually set in place by hoyt - again we didn't want to force anything. I will phone the reseller later today to get their adivce.

If the alignment was set at the factory by Hoyt, using laser alignment....I think they need new lasers etc!!!!

i have an eclipse and i do believe they can be aligned to what you want, but best to get a reputable dealer to do it, my limbs are misaligned on my eclipse (if you look at the bow face on youll see the distance either side of the limbs in relation to the edge of the limb pockets is not the same), which leads me to think they are supposed to be like that, i havent had any problems with mine as yet but just make sure from time to time that my string is central etc

That sounds very similar to mine....

I spoke to the retailer this afternoon, who thinks it might be because my the limbs are not Hoyt , and that the risers are pre-set for those limbs. He also so no reason as to why they couldn't be adjusted.

I will check with my other limbs & hopefully some Hoyt limbs tomorrow night at the club.

Ive got Winex and had Hoyt previously both look dead straight on the bow string right through the middle of everything! So I havn't had any cause to adjust the limb pockets yet either I'm afraid

Had a further look at the alignment the other night....after consultation with the manual I managed to get the limbs aligned quite nicely.

Hoyt's comment that you can't align the eclipse limbs is not worth the paper its written on.

Thanks for the input.

For the money they made the Eclipse too darn close to the helix and this little sidestep in the manual is supposed to make it seem far less of a handle! Infact the only poor thing as said before is the paint job!

Yes, you can adjust the limb alignment, but you need the right tools; it's not a standard hex-wrench like Hoyt's top models. Basically they recommend you take it back to the shop to get adjusted, but it's good to hear that folks have just figured it out.

I've noticed that my Samick limbs look a little asymmetrical the way they sit in the Eclipse's limb pockets, but from the front of the bow the string is perfectly aligned down the centre of the limbs (as far as I can tell... I don't own a laser), so I haven't bothered to fiddle with it.
