| Spotting Scope Hi, After getting my first competitive bouncer (and not realising) I have decided I need a spotting scope or some binoculars. I have seen the Seben Razor 2 on ebay that I thought I may bid on but I don't know much about what makes a good scope. At £50 for scope and tripod it seems to good to be true. Does it look suitable? Alternatively, I thought of getting a pair of binoculars but I don't know what sort of magnification/lens size I'd need. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

| I would go for a scope on a tripod because you need a clear/bright/steady picture to spot arrows at 100y. The aim is to see which are yours; usually only the fletchings and nocks are of any use in that search and colour might be the only way to discriminate. There have been several threads on this topic, some recently.I'll try to find a link. Try This http://www.archery-interchange.com/f...s-tripods.html |

| I have an opticron Spotting scope. Picks out each archers arrows arrows 99.99% of the time. Only have difficulty spotting arrows when its really windy as my tripod is not the strongest in the world but still does what I need it to. My scope is a 54x zoom. You dont need much more than that but something with a 60+ zoom would be more than what you will ever need. If you spend the money now you wont need to replace the scope or tripod for years. My tripod and scope are over 5 years old and still going strong after serious abuse and all weather conditions.
