Limb Paint?

I'm getting a bit bored with my limbs and feel the need to change the look (I'm keeping the limbs so don't care about resale value). They are silver carbon and I'm looking to change them to black.
I had a look at limbskins but really want a single colour.
Can anyone help please?

Try digging around the old posts on the forum. I've got a sneaky suspicion this has been asked before and there were some good answers.

You could always try and see if you can get limbskins made in a single colour.

If 'limbskins' are just a thin vinyl you could have a go at making your own. Get some black vinyl off cuts from a signmaker and have a try.

Will the vinyl crinkle due to expansion and contraction on each face of the limbs.

How about heatshrink for wireing ?

Adding anything to the limbs will slow them down and reduce efficiency.

Wingate -That's an innovative idea, maybe busbar shrink would do? but from memory it's about 1mm thick, as I'm an spark I have a word with my wholesalers and see if I can get any 'samples' . I'll post results as the heatshrink is a great idea as it reversible

Tom - Thanks for the link it looks like a thin coat auto paint and varnish (might try pink out on my daughter's rolan limbs first though )

Always worth trying it out first. Never quite sure what solvent is used in some paints, and what they might do to your expensive stack of laminates....
