Pimped out Allegiance

I've never been super keen on the Bowtech black marble finish. I like it, but I prefer a different look if I can get it.
I like the Hoyt colours alot, the Cobalt blue, Flame, US Flag and the Gold. I always get tempted to buy a Gold Helix.

One night we were discussing similar things and I thought, yeah why not. Lets get the Allegiance anodized.
Next day made some calls and was recommended to try a local place out.

So here is the result.

Gold Bowtech Allegiance

Nice work Marcus.

How's the durability of the finish from first impressions? Was it rather cost effective or did the bank balance wince a little lol?

All in all it looks good, i'm personally not so much a fan of the ol'gold but even i have to admit that really came out nicely!

The durability will be better than the stock colour I have no doubt. It was not cheap ($295) but will keep me shooting the bow for a while. LOL.
I went with Gold because I wanted something unique and there is nothing more arrogant than shooting a competition with a gold bow.

Aha! I've found your newly anodised bow! Why did it cost so much? It is a more durable kind of anodising?

The costs include
Stripping off old coating
Polishing the riser
It is a one off
They are a company of very high regard (they do show class car work and military stuff)
The Aussie $$ is worth about 0.45 pounds. (so it was about 124 pound sterling)

well it sure is cheaper than a new bow i guess lol.

Personally i wouldn't begrudge the money if it was spent for the reasons you mentioned, follows the creed of 'do it once and do it right' rather nicely.

As for the reasons of choosing gold...well they're all true enough, unfourtunately i don't think i want to make that kind of statement until i'm winning a few more of the golds to match the anodising were i to go down that route.

You best watch you don't get a taste for it now and start re-painting bows every month .
