Samick Extreme vs W&W Winex

This is really gonna open up a whole big can of worms.. there'll most certainly be heated debate on this... heard alot of things about these 2 limbs.. i've read threads on forums comparing Hoyt limbs with other limbs.. but wat about these two limbs..? it's either i hear a whole lot on one of them with comparison to another limb but not these 2 compared with each other.. so which is gonna win the battle of smoothness thru the draw, speed and durability..?

In My opion based on others reports

If you do a search you will find some info on this already on this site, im sure of it, but let me try to put out my thoughts on the 2 limbs.

The Winex is the smoother and feels lighter of the 2 limbs. I know the Winex is fast but so is the Samick. However the samick is reported to feel stiffer to draw. This is what gives it it's speed. Its not cos the limb is stiff for a bad reason. The design of the limb makes it feel more solid compared to the Samick. To be honest each of the big three, Extreme's,winex and G3 are pretty much a muchness. They are all different in deifferent area's. However im sure someone with more knowledge of these limbs will come in and correct/add on to my comment.

Now if you bring the new INNO limbs into the battle its not contest. james from Linecutter did a comparison test with INNO's and extremes. The INNO's were about 7fps faster on average than the equivalent extreme. With the INNO's you can believe the hype.

IMO the Winex are more stable than the Extremes and very slightly faster. If looking at Samick, would tend to go with the Master limbs as a better compromise than the Extremes. Winex are also very smooth, but not as smooth as the Inno, as said above. I couldn't believe how nice the Inno limbs felt to draw - comparing my 38# Winex on my full setup and 42# Innos on a fiberbow, the Innos actually felt easier to draw!

Just my 2c worth.

I agree with the INNO comment obviously. Let me explain what happened. James from Linecutter was doing some Chrono tuneing with his Extremes in a Matrix. He then pulled out a set of INNO's. Both at 40# I believe. He removed the Extremes and put in the INNO's. NO tiller change or Brace eight change. Just did a straight swap. The INNO's were faster by quite a bit.

Have to agree the Inno's in this company are worth considering if not for the crisp feel, speed and stiffness but also the fact that they feel light to draw normally I hold 40lb on my fingers couldn't believe I had 46 and the scales were correct.

With regards to the Extremes and Winex the Winex are a tad faster but thats it the rest is down to feel IMO all the limbs in this section do the job required and like for like the stored energy is around 70%. plus or minus 1 or 2%

Sticking to the point here (after all, nobody asked about the Inno's, or G3's for that matter!) I have to say that the Extremes are simply BEAUTIFUL limbs.

I've had mine about 2 weeks now, (moved up from W&W Everest Pro) and they are totally different to the W&W's. They're smoother through the clicker, they're a LOT faster, and feel about 2lbs heavier than the Everests (even though they were both the same poundage).

I'm not sure whether it's relevant or not here, but since I started shooting with my Extremes, I've taken 4 points off my handicap in the past two weeks, and had my highest placing in an Open Tournament (2nd place at Woking last weekend) and I cant rate them highly enough!! I'm now shooting scores well into Bowman territory, whereas before I was a solid 1st Class.

I admit that this isn't a comparison against the Winex, but I understand that the W&W Everest's were a "poor man's" forerunner to them, and I shot with them for 9 months, so in my opinion, of the choice of the two I'd go for the Samicks.

So you're not ACTUALLY sticking to the point then since nobody asked about Everests . Any suggestion Everest limbs and Winnex are similar is nonsense I'm afraid, sorry.

Absolutely. Whenwe compare Winex and G3 we are compareing carbon foam with carbon foam. Everest limbs are wood not foam core. 2 completely different animals.
