Question Binoculars

Can anyone suggest some good small light binoculars for indoors? I have trouble seeing the nock colours in poor light but I can't manage anything with an objective lense bigger than 25mm. I've been advised that you get what you pay for. Is that true?

Fiddler - as with all things - this is undoubtedly true. However binos could be perhaps a little more than you actually need.
Have you considered a monocular? - Same optical performance for just over half the price.
Has the benefit of fitting better on a belt, being easier to focus and easier to use one handed.

what you pay is generally what you get. Plus its always best to try them out before as there are some very good binocular for reasonable prices out there.

May sound strange but good places to try are nature reserves. They often stock a good range and some have secondhand ones for sale.

some good names are
Opticron
Nikon
Zeiss
RSPB

hope that helps
