Doinker Carbon Stabiliser

I've heard they are the 'best'. Subjective maybe, but..

What is the difference between the Carbon Elite and the regular Carbon version?

Almost all my clubmates uses W&W HMCs (Really cheap here). Opinions on the Doinker stabilisers are not available

The Elite rod comes with the supressor/extender. The rods are otherwise the same.

The suppressor acts as an extender? It is removable?

It is. I had to use a little heat to break the thread-lock. I emailed Doinker, and they told me what to do. I use the suppressor as an extension between the riser and the Spigarelli V-bar.

I was thinking about getting a supression mount to use as an extender too. How well does it work?

IMO it works really well.

I use the suppression mount as an extender between my bow and an AGF v-bar, then I have Doinker rods and twins.

Kae.

4.75" Supression Mount, 4.9oz

I presume, this is the length?

What does a Suppression Mount means anyway? How different is it from a regular Extender? What is the purpose of an Extender? It is not listed under Extender & Adapter on the Doinker website.

Its under Accessories and Mounts on their website. Extenders are used between your V's and riser to shift the CofG back forward. And as to how the supression mount differs from a regular extender:
"Add a Suppression Mount to any stabilizer and reduce the micro vibration, harmonics and shock produced during the shot. This unit is designed with an internally isolated weight and venting to disperse the shock wave generated at the riser."

Supression mounts are not new exactly,TFC's for example, but they tend to work on a similar idea. A weight is suspended in a flexible mount so that any vibration in the system will cause the weight to vibrate, independently. Usually the aim is for the weight to vibrate at a different frequency from the vibrations in the system, helping them to decay very quickly. My guess is that inside the unit there is a weight that is mounted in this way.
