| I've never seen any data on the question, but apocryphal stories that are trotted out each time this question comes up usually have it that multi rod set-ups are more prone to wind shear than single rods. Personally, if it was blowing that much I would be more interested in where my arrows were going. |

| started out with a solid longrod and V setup before switching to a multirod system my subjective observation is that in terms of being affected by wind i cant tell (at my level) that much PRACTICAL difference between the two - if multirods ARE worse in wind (and round here we have plenty of that) then for me at least the benefits of them (better weight distribution / potential tunability) outweigh that (bear in mind that around the same time as switching from solid to multi i also switched from a fairly light riser to something resembling a girder so there might well be other factors at play in my setup as far as wind effects are concerned) slainte rob

| Last year I was shooting with Beiter stabiliser setup and had terrible problems in the wind. So at the end of the year I changed to an HMC setup and for me the difference was amazing, I was getting very little issues in anything other than the very strongest of winds. But as with all things in archery I have spoken to people who find the reverse true. So as always try some out and see how you get on. |

| I found there to be more movement in the wind with a multi-rod set-up. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Long rod windage Many thanks for your comments. I stopped shooting just as the Beiter rods were launched and never bothered to try them, not thinking I would go back to shooting. Now I need a full kit from the bow up (except for my tabs). Looks like I need to take a sleeping bag when I go to Quicks next.
