| Try three pieces laminated together with the grain running top to bottom (beech or oak work well, but you can get a fantastic layered effect just using good quality plywood). Make the centre piece same thickness as the riser, but narrower than the end pieces, which sorts out the slot in the handle very easily. To pick up the screw hole, laminate the centre piece and one of the side pieces first. Offer up the block to the riser and get it to fit in the correct position by trimming it, then spot drill through the riser to the side piece. Glue the second side piece on and drill back through from the first. You then have a basic block that has the correct slot it in and an accurate hole for the screw. The rest is pure fun and carving - all the hard work is done. If you can get access to a bench mounted belt sander (linisher) to get the centre piece to the right thickness is saves a lot of time (do wear a mask - many hardwood dusts are suspected of causing cancer). Fast set epoxy is the best glue, but use plenty of clamping pressure to minimise the glue line when finished. Have fun!

| Sorry, I'm still at a loss unless you are the Rik who comes to the Drill Hall in Ware with the fancy attachment on your glasses? Not sure whether you no much about the situation with Zoe, but she came back from Peru with a kidney infection, it might have been nothing to do with Peru but it started about a week after her return. We have never really had an explanation but in a nutshell she has the problem sometimes described as ME, and she just has to do the best she can to get over it. She was much better in the run up to xmas but has had a few days since when we just cannot keep her awake - like today! We have seen just about everyone and the answer seems to be that it can take months or longer to get over. catch you later? Robbie |

I'm sorry to hear about Zoe. That's a terrible thing to happen at the best of times. Especially not nice during your school years. |

| Hi, Someone sent this link:- http://www.bowgrips.com/index.cfm Looking at what they offer for the ex-feel it appears to be the same as the standard grip shape, they don't say anything else, yet they do for other risers so I was going to contact them before shelling out £60. Robbie |
