Sight Lubrication....
What would you folks recommend to lubricate my sight block???

I am finding recently that moving the sight block up & down is rather stiff. Would a squirt of WD40 be OK???

Better to use a spray-on dry lubricant as this will not collect dirt (the propellant evaporates immediately, leaving a thin layer of dry PTFE or Teflon).

Use a bit of string wax. Do not use oil based lubricants as they will clog up the moving parts.

The moving parts are fine...its just when moving the block up & down that its sticking. I'll try some wax tonight...thanks

As Muryay has already said, only use a dry lubricant. Anything like oil, grease, or wax will attract dirt, acceletating wear.

whitelightning bicycle chain dry lubricant is good.

The solvent evaporates leaving a very thin layer of wax.
