Do bows have feelings?

Is It just me or does anyone elses bow seem to have feelings?

I waiting on my new bow to become avaliable and my current bow seems to be underperforming?

I have had this in the past with other bows. When they know you are going to be replacing them they seem to rebel and start throwing in some random shots.

Am I going mad or is this common?

Interesting. Your gear gets insecure and tries to impress yet mine always gets jelous and throws a hissy fit.

So maybe bows even have personalities?

I can confirm that my bow does not have feelings. But them I'm a scientist at heart.

I think bows have the personalities we give them. We make them anthropomorphic because we're so fond of our kit. I know if I bump, drop or mishandle my bow, I apologise to her. Plus I call it a *she* when it's just a lump of aluminium.

My bow doesn't shoot crap...I do.

No they don't. Archers, however, tend to justify buying new toys in all sorts of ways, many of them subconscious.

what john said.

its a bit of metal and wood/carbon. it will have no more feeling than a desk from ikea or a pallpoint pen.

maybe your just subconsciously (spelling!!) trying to convinve yourself that the old kit is not up to scratch anymore and hence will under perform

i felt like this last week when i tried some HEXVs'.

all of a sudden afterwards shooting my txgs just didnt feel so special

My best competition was a New National where it was nip and tuck all the way through with a guy on my target who was a regular top 3 finisher in the area but I managed to take 1st place in the end. That was the last time I shot my Yamaha EX as I had a new GM at home but didnt shoot it due to the lack of sight marks. Not the only time I've used equipement for the last time and shot well either.
