Deal Or No Deal?

I always want to upgrade from my pair of Epic to the M1. But now I know Hoyt will release some new limbs in perhaps 2 weeks. So, what do u guys think? Should I still go for the M1 (they are at a discount now.) or should I buy the new series?

Wait, look at specs and check prices. I am tentative to say get the new one's as G3's and Winnex were delaminating when they frist came out. This maynot be an issue but this would worry me. Not saying it will happen and I dont hink it ever happend to M1's any way so you should be fine. However if they do go they will replace them anyway.

100% wait and investigate the new limbs first. Maybe ring les at ardvark as they have some 2008 gear already apparently.

Reports of G3s delaminating started coming in long after they were introduced, which leads many to draw the conclusion that Hoyt tweaked the design, changed the materials or changed some part of the production process after a couple of years or so. This is speculation, of course.

W&W limbs, on the other hand, tend to have problems in the first generation, which have to be fixed by changing the design quite radically in some cases. This happened with the Synergy, XQ1 and Winex limbs.

I would only buy a first-generation piece of equipment if a) I was satisfied that the R&D process was extremely vigorous and b) I trusted the dealer/manufacturer to back up the product 100% should there be any problems.

If you get the M1s, the odds are you'll have an excellent limb at a good price that will serve you well for years and which can be used to shoot top scores. Ultimately, the choice is yours.

Thanks guys! I would probably get the M1 as my second set of limbs. Meanwhile, I will keep my eyes on all comments about those new limbs. If they are really good and durable. I might get a pair in 2009!
