My New Posten Stabs

I finally have a piccie of my new Longrod and extender.

I have purchased these as a bit of an experiment. Not many have shot these rods on Recurves so im interested to see how they react.

I have been told that the carbon tubes, I have had added (carbon is a special order not a standard product), have added to the shock absorbign aspects. not sure whether its a valid test but they make less noise when tapped with the carbon then with out it. Only time and shooting will tell. A review will follow when it arrives.

No i didnt steal his trousers. He had a spare pair with a rip in the crotch. The legs were fine.

They dont take batteries. The vibration from the shock charges like those fancy watches.

The finish looks much better on yours It will be interesting to get your opinion on the carbon inserts.

We are waiting for our replacement set (in black this time)

I will be taking lopads of picks and will compare direct with my easton ace rods.

For comparison purposes I will shot the bow with and with out added doinkers to the rods and equal (as close to) weights added to the end. Im very interested to see how they perform.

They look much better in person. The colours great. The weight feels about right. A top product from a guy who makes them in his basement. Will install them on the bow tonight hopefully and will take some pictures. Real road test will be friday night. We shall see how they go. Lets hope the added carbon helps.

How much better do they perform over other stabalisers that you have tested?

This I will find out the weekend. Not shot them yet. Alo of hunters like them in the US but I am going to try and do a direct comparison this friday night. I will record my shooting with my ace rod and my posten. Think this will be a good comparison between the bench mark rod (Easton ACE used by many for many years and regarded as one of the best rods of all time, IMHO and im sure others) and my new Posten. These rods are only about 1 year old and mine is one of a very little amount of many sold which have the carbon insert.

Whatch this space for field tests.
