Am I being slow?

Am I being slow? I have a cartel longrod with two removable weights. Looks like this

The best balance for me on my Guardian is to remove the two weights which looks like this

which is good for balance but doesn't look so good. Is the thread meant to be removable or is there a no weight end cap available?

Beiter do an end cap (in various colours)..... if its the same thread it will fit

If you do not want to add a weighted end cap you can always just use a plastic Beiter hood it's the same thread size and covers the thread (1/4")

I think what LMP is thinking of is a Sims Stabilizer Enhancer. You can see a picture of one on page 46 of Quicks catalog (#QR90). - John

Personally I would put something soft and rubbery on the end like the rod saver by sims. I cant believe you dont need any weight on the end. However I cant say you do with out seeing so my suggestion is just put some sort of doinker on the end. This will help with shock and also a good base to rest the bow on the ground with outgetting the rod thread all dirty or scratch the floor when indoors.

That would be the Sims Stabilizer Enhancer...

It does still have a weight on the end it is just it seems to be very well balanced with just the rod and the sight out the front.

However, I am still quite new to it so who nows what will change once I get used to shooting it.

Thanks all I will look into on fo those rubbery cappy things (see I have all the lingo :-))
