The twisting is more to do with poor torsional stability hence it being somewhat fickle and unforgiving. FX are a few fps faster which is why some top archers still use them, not as many mistakes to forgive.

Well, the WinEX limb is very impressive and as far as I can tell after trying a 36lb pair for 6 months, they do exactly what it says on the tin (I dropped to 36lb to try and correct bad draw shoulder position). They feel like a heavier limb to draw up, but at anchor thay are great and VERY fast (although in my case and one or two others I have heard about, they are a bit noisy). The 36lb limbs perform very well out to 80 yards with little difference to the sight mark over my G3 38lb limbs. I have not had the chance to try tham out at 90M yet, but I don't think there will be any problem. Highly recommended!

I think the phrase i'm looking for is "FX's reward a good shot"...Either that, or they're a *lot* more forgiving than people make out, as i'm not really THAT good...!

Don't pay too much attention to the comments about the FX limbs, they will serve you well.

I think you've got it there in one: the FX will greatly reward a good shot. Straight down the line, and brilliantly so. But in my experience, it WILL punish a bad shot.
