If you compared them side by side with a pair of FX's you would say the G3's do stack. They don't, but the FX is so creepily smooth, they spoil you for anything else. The G3 is a fine limb, as are a lot of others. Try before you buy...

I've drawn 70in and 68in G3s and FX limbs to over 31" and haven't noticed a significant difference. They don't seem to stack, but nor do they seem ultra smooth to me.

It's all subjective, and also depends on the feel you prefer at full draw. I once met a 1250+ recurve shooter who switched to Synergy limbs from TX40s because he said the TX40s were too smooth. He said he preferred having more to pull against at full draw. Why he didn't just go up a pound or two in draw weight I'll never know.

In The Glade magazine, also somewhere else, people have quoted Hoyt (or an engineer there) that FX are designed for 1200+ shooters. They know the limb tips are twisty given a bad grip on the string or torquing the handle etc.

Can't quite remember, GM.... I know I should be in the habit of checking it every time I set up but I'm usually in so much of a hurry I don't. I'll have a look when I get a minute.

Cheers Dave, seems to be a few Matrix G3 users, Im going to juggle the Tiller a bit to see if i can cure a slight rise at full draw.

Has anyone any thoughts on the M1 limbs?
