I just had a PM on another archery forum from someone who is ranked in the FITA World top 10 and is not a UK shooter. He would consider disputing any ruling that banned all carbon arrows and he does shoot in the UK now and again, including at Dover this year.
Perhaps any WRS competition that bans all carbons should obtain a copy of the FITA exemption from
GNAS and display it at the event, that way all participants would be able to see that FITA has exempted the WRS event, allowing it to ban all carbons. Then there would be no problem as the judges could point any complainant to the FITA exemption certificate. And if there is a challenge to any World record shot at the event from another International governing body or individual archer, again there would be no problem if the exemption had been displayed.
The question of course is does this exemption exist in writing??? if it does, has anyone seen it?
