Sorry!

If you are Leckzilla, I 'm afraid I am the one who won that auction.

I bought them for my wife, as a Valentine day present, so maybe you can forgive me?

I've had the Matrix set up for field for some time, using CE 3d Select arrows. They are about the same weight as my ACEs, at a fraction of the cost. Great for field shoots in the woods, but being fatter, they are not so good in cross winds for target.

Strange that, we do field shooting in the woods and target shooting in fields.
Do you know, I've often thought that

Now I've got the Helix, I think that may well become the field bow.
Great stuff. As for me, I have to confess that having sold my ACEs, I've used the cash raised to put the deposit on that Inferno Helix at Centreshot. It's now sitting on the rack with a "Sold" label on it

So, where do you field shoot? It's struck me more than once that the countryside around North Fawley may suit field shooting (despite the lack of trees ).

Unfortunately, I haven’t found any woods local to me where I can shoot. Most private woods are either used for rearing pheasants, or they too close to public access where it would be impossible to leave bosses out all the time.

My own club is near Calne in Wiltshire, but I don’t get there very often because there is usually an NFAS, EFAA and the very occasional GNAS shoot on within 1.5 hours drive each week-end.

Blimey. Isn't that quite a way for you to go (my knowledge of geography isn't great)? I take it you practice in your garden, or is the target club close enough for you?

Anyway, this is the sort of thing we can chat about when I next get down to Fawley. I'll keep you posted on that.
