Question Easton nocks & string

Thanks eveyone who replied on the Navigator thread. I just need a little help on a couple of other points please.

I was going to ask what size nock is best with my string, but then thought I would ask if my string was ok. I have a feeling I have too many strands as I presently have 18.

So, my questions are: -

1) Pulling around the 42lb mark on 68" limbs, what would be the recommended number of strands for Fast Flight? I will be using this indoor and outdoor if that helps.

2) How do you work out the Easton nock sizes

Many thanks in advance

18 strand fastflight sounds right for your bow weight.

I use Beiter #2 sized nocks on my 18 strand strings. The wider groove fits 'just right' (in my experience). I would expect the Easton wide groove to be similar in fit to the Beiter.

I think the general rule of thumb for Fast Flight is 16 strands small nock 18 and above large nock. I stand to be corrected of course.

I used to use small Easton nocks with a 16 strand Fastflight string (Stringflex from Bowsports). I still use small Easton gnocks and no.1 small Beiter nocks with my 18 strand Majesty from Rod Young on this forum.
