(context - i have a soma saker and also a joomong)

if youre pulling on the pinky hook then youre using it wrong IMHO - i find the pinky hook useful for reminding me to tuck the little finger away and reach for my neck with it - if you found yourself pulling on the hook then you could always reverse it and tuck your pinky behind it

i think the soma tabs are a bit marmite - you either get on with them really well or you cant stand them - personally i like them as i find the finger spacer the most comfortable of any tab ive tried and the 'tail' at the back of the saker / joomong sits the tab consistently in my string hand by seating into the base of my thumb

I really like mine. Does take a bit of time to get used to nocking an orrow with a piece of metal digging into your palm but you soon adopt a new style to get round this.

Good quality purchase worth the £30+ quid.

Not had any issues with pulling with my pinky but i had a bad habbit for drawing with only my 1st and 2nd finger with my 4th not doing much and holding about 5% of the draw weight. Using the pinky hook forced my to have a deeper hook on the string and corrected my draw problems.

But yeah as PHZ said they are a love it r hate it tab. But there is now the option of the soma tab without the training aid triangle. Might be a better purchase if your draw is fine.

Also a bit cheaper.

As Svennis often says, some parts good, some parts not. I like the pinky grip, but not the digging in shape in the palm. The thumb rest is a good idea if your thumb fits your jawline.

would def recommend ordering the Joomong first

£8.99 from Merlin

£8.50 from Bowsports

At them prices you could buy two and cut the rear triangle off of one and see which you prefer.
The cheapest I have seen the Saker's one and two are £29.99 so even with postage the two Joomongs are still cheaper than one Saker and the Joomong is made of cast metal not injection molded as stated on the Merlin site, so the main diff is the quality of the leather face.

I love my (lge) Saker Mk1 and can't see me falling out of love with it anytime soon (see threads passim).

Like Rob, I use the 'pinky' hook for placement of finger purposes only.
