Arrow saw

Looking at a shop site, they advertise two Arrow saws. The ACO and the APPLE at £25 more. Has anyone any experience of which is the best out of the two. Ease of use and quality of build/motor etc.

personaly my arrows are cut by my coach who uses a dremel and cut off wheels, resting on his arrow straightner, perfect job every time.

i have just bought a dremel equivalent and even though i am yet to try it out i have a few old spares to practice on.

I have used Dremel tools, hand held saws and jigs, I now us a Best Arrow saw.
Why is it so named? This is the best arrow saw that I have used, well built, easy to adjust, accurate, safe.

I was trying to remember what saw our club had, and that's the one. I've used a few times and it is a very good unit, nice and easy to use and accurate. So it gets my recommendation as well.

I bought an American Archery Products 8000 RPM saw.

I had to by a US to UK voltage adapter off ebay for about £10 but it still came in a lot less than the £224 Alt Services one or the Apple saw which costs about £140 - £150. There is the ACO but I'm not sure if its an 8,000 RPM one.

The thing I like about the AAP one is that it is very simple to use, comes with 2 spare blades, 2 spin testers and 2 adapters to fit to a vacuum if you want dust extraction.

Given your list of cutting tools isn't this the ONLY arrow saw you've used and therefore the 'best'?

I've once tried using an arrow saw which has the same design as this and I find it not easy to use. You have to know how to use the arrow saw or else the arrow wouldn't have a nice cut.

We haven't found it a problem, provided you don't put so much pressure on the arrow you bend it during cutting

Both myself and my wife use it, we have cut dozens of arrows without one issue.

Haha it must be me then. It was my first time, and I was cutting Plats. I was only told to rotate the arrow while cutting. I got 3-4 arrows with jagged edges and then I gave up. Got my senior to cut them for me instead. Thank god I didn't try cutting my navs myself.
