W+W Winex - end of line?

Was brousing round the Merlin website, and it says the Winex limbs are reduced as they are special offer, end of line.

Are Winex limbs being dis-continued? They were a limb I was concidering as my next step....

Cheers - Geoff.

I expect so as W&W seem to be moving towards the Inno and ProAccent limbs being their high end/higher end limbs.

However ,does it really matter? They're still going to be a fantastic limb, even if they are discontinued..

Dossnt matter in the slightest if they are dis-continued, only that I was not going to buy anything for a little while until I got used to the higher poundage of my wound up limbs....

It would upset me to have my heart set on them, only to find out I couldnt buy them when I finally got round to getting them!

Seem to be a good price at the moment, I may buy them while I have the chance

They've been sitting around that price since February I believe (sometime around then).

They might be end-of-line as far as Merlin stocking them, they're still featured in the 2008 Win & Win Catalogue and on the website ....

Slight detour if I may - how would something going 'end-of-line' affect existing owners in terms of guarantee (come to think of it what is the W&W guarantee?)

I'd assume it would be the same until the warranty period expired. I assume that people with 2007 Hoyt compounds (38 Ultra etc.) are still fine as it is a lifetime warranty so they must assume it won't remain in the lineup forever.

Upgrading from Hoyt Epics, I've just bought a set on Winex myself, as they are a bit of a bargain at the moment.

A joy to shoot with and in the month or so I've had them I've shot several PBs.

Personally, I don't think the likes of Inno limbs would make any difference for me shooting wise (except to make me even poorer), so I consider the Winex great value.

If you are looking to upgrade, I'd certainly try a pair.

It seems like most people still love winexs and I don't blame them. I am trying to get rid of mine though for 100GBP+shipping if anyone's interested

I might be interested, depending on size/poundage. PM me with the details.
