| To be fair Murray the riser didn't have a proper grip on it when I bought it 2nd hand and the cost of getting a Jager from the States and a factory grip from Italy were comparable. Plus the fact that the Jager was designed for a slightly different (newer) riser model didn't help (the Bernardini factory grip would also have been for the newer riser). ![]() But yeah, in hindsight a chunk of wood and a packet of milliput would probably have done just as well. ![]() |

| Excuses excuses - I know you had good reason, but I wonder how many others have realised that the stock jager doesn't quite suit and have modified it.

| I found that the Jaeger grip was great on my Aerotec, but with the Axis I prefer the grip that came with it. It is possible that this has something to do with the physical weight of the Axis, and also possible that it is linked to the fact that I shot the Aerotec with it indoors. More research needed. However I'm very happy with the shape and feel of the Jaeger grip itself.

| Years ago I had an old round wheel compound that was 50# with a 30% let off. It was common to take the grips off them and wrap a bit of tape around the riser bit where the grip was and shoot it like that. Ended up pretty much with the type of grips the modern compounds now have LOL. Anybody ever try that with a modern recurve riser? |

| I have a jager grip for my helix and one for my luxor. Sold the helix months ago and have started to mod the one for my Luxor. Oh and the jager for the Luxor was a freebee from Vegas!

| Having made my own wooden grips, I am impressed with my Jager grip. I have altered the shape of the hard plastic a little, and it is better. There are always slight improvements that can be made to improve personal ergonomic fit and feel. |

| Seems to fit in there just lovely for me but I have very wide palms perhaps its just a personal thing. The only thing I can say Murray is give one a try it does give something of a reassurance that your hand is going to be in the same place over and over again without worrying if its going to slip into a different place! Ive just ordered a new one for my new riser! |

![]() While it seems expensive compared to a Loesch it is pretty cheap. But to some point I agree, why buy a Jager if you're not going to shoot it the way it is intended to be shot. ![]() Stretch |
