its not just the arrow that flexes, watch the sight (video)

I've seen a few bendy rrow videos, but this is the clearest. What surprised me was how much the sight flexed!

Looking at it I'm not sure that whether the riser is itself flexing, or whether the bow is moving in the archer's hand as a result of the vibration.

What I find interesting is the side-to-side string oscillation which continues even when the string has reached its rest position. Looking at how all parts of the bow are moving, it's difficult to see how we ever hit the target!

I can see where you are coming from but just look how much the sight vertical rack wobbles from side to side relative to the riser which is relatively static, its no wonder screws work loose!

Good Grief.........Now i know why my sight vibrates like hell.Didn't expect that much movement. The string moving side to side is a bit more than i expected too.

The biggest shock for me was the arrow flex.It really protests as it comes off the string.WowInteresting to see that, although the arrow severely flexes the node points do actually stay in a straight line.

Someone out their wants to invent a string and point system that allows you to launch the arrow from the point end not the nock end Not sure if that would then be archery (maybe slingery ) I'm gonna get flamed aren't i?

Interesting to see that the Natalia Valeeva video shows her shooting with "I pod" ear phones, are these allowed in international comps? cause they arent in locals!!

It's also interesting watching the re-action of the Bow-hand

Yes presuming it was attached to an ipod, it's only "electronic communication" that's not allowed.

Wandered off thread a bit,but doing archery with an ipod on would be soooooooo enjoyable I wouldnt attempt it though.Doing archery whilst"getting down",would make me a liability
