Pressure button keeps working loose Hi folks Any tips for a pressure button that keeps on working loose? Its a Shibuya DX in a Nexus riser. I've tried putting some bow wax on the threads before which will usually stop it for a while but having to check its tight every couple of shots is getting a bit dull. Short of gluing it in, whats a good way to keep it in tightly. I have been told to get a wrench and tighten it up massively but would rather avoid scratching the riser like that if theres a good alternative.

I have used a piece of PTFE tape (used by plumbers) to stop the button coming loose. I hope this may help. Best wishes, Mark
| i have the same problem. get yourself some PTFE tape and wrap it around the threads a few times. or some loctite. drat...but beat me huffy

I have a Nexus and Shibuya DX. I also have a wrap round rest. I use a wrench to tighten the button against the rest, not too much, just enough to hold it in place. Never comes loose. I'm guessing you don't use a wrap around rest, in which case you will tighten against the riser. You could fit a suitable spacer, perhaps a plastic washer, between the riser and the button in order to protect the riser. I bet it won't be long before the ideas come flooding in. Good luck. Alan

Cheers for the suggestions, I cant believe I didnt think of the plumbers tape! I even have a roll for using when a nock doesnt have quite a tight enough fit into an arrow shaft! I'll see how i get on with that before getting my wrench out. Thanks again

Mm Never have been that much of a problem for me really... Just tighten it against the riser when screwing it in and that's it, and if it does loosen during the shot, it won't do anything, or so from my experience, unless you keep shooting without tightening it of course.

I have a thin spanner that applies just enough torque to keep the DX button firmly against the ZT arrow rest.

Is your bow tuned with no major vibrations or limb wobble, if not then this could also be something to look at.

| bung some string wax on/in the threads, works for me!

I think the initial post said that they had tried this. Usually works, but seems not in this case.
