| Urggh! It's for Ford Focus ST owners, clearly. Better in red (see above). The handle (on the Nilo anyway) doesn't do anything, at least not the way I hold the bow, I don't think at full draw that my hand even touches it, actually. The Nilo comes with a medium-height grip, you can get a taller grip to replace it, or even a lower one. I thought about going for the taller grip, to try and fill the underside of the ball of the thumb/palm area, but I've got used to it now (at least in dry conditions). The grip is, apparently, held on with some sticky stuff, and can be carefully levered-off. Of course the weight of the Nilo depends on how many of the integral weights you fit in the bottom part. It's a sweet, sweet bit of kit, but not in orange (or rather !!ORANGE!!), thanks! |

| The traditional By Bernardini wooden grip provided with Nilo and Aladin risers are of the "Medium" type. Hight type is optional, and makes the feeling very close the the one of the "Gillo" ball grip. The "Low" type is also optional and is really too much "low", as it was originally provided with our compound bows, only. Then our new generation of "2000" compound bows also can use the 3 mentioned wooden grips as options, but it comes standard with a new special flat metal grip. As of its back compatibility, you can therefore use this new flat metal grip on the Nilo and Aladin as well, but I don't think it is confortable for recurve or bare bow shooters. So, we remain with 2 practical options only, the Medium and the High grip. They are exactly the same for both right hand and left hand shooters, and can be used as they are, but there is a simple trick to make them much more stable in your hand. Just file a little bit the top right corner (seen from the back) if you are right handed, and viceversa if you are left handed. The hand placement will immediately become much much better, as well as the feeling of stability during the entire shooting sequence.

| It's still good that a company does provide different grip options, especially for compounds. Archers vary, and not everyone wants to use the same grip. Is anyone stocking the compounds in the UK? |
