Question Do they work?

Hi.
I was at the Scottish Open last Sunday and seen a lot of the golfers wearing these:

TRIONZ - Magnetic Ionic Sports Bracelets & Necklaces

I was wondering if anyone had one of the products and if:
a) They actually work
b) If they would be beneficial to shooting.

Thanks

Well the science sounds bogus but there's probably some sort of psychological benefit. If you think you'll feel better, you will. If you're feeling better you'll do better...

This quote is from their website: "Trion:Z products create a boost in the body's magnetic field, embracing its natural active aura."
Don't tell these people about NMR scanners, they'll tell you that the only thing that stops you spinning like a top and glowing like a lightbulb in them is the collective will of the pixies. And that's cr@p 'cos anyone who knows pixies knows that they love to see things spinning around. They wrote the Kylie hit.

However, this is excellent science, there's huge amounts of proof that it works...

...so don't read any of the cr@p on the website (you might accidentally quote it to someone), get the bracelet, but whatever you do, don't let it get tangled up in your pink quartz. Makes your aura go a very funny colour.

in medical trials even Placebo's work

and this is the really confusing part; you only "find out" if it works or not when part of you has decided whether to believe that it works.. or not, which you don't know yet. It's a test of our ability to dupe our subconscious by saying things over and over until they are true.

If I know a pill is a placebo for example, and has no active ingredients, BUT I KNOW from studies that placebos do work if you believe in them, then I suppose I can convince myself that I believe that it'll work. That is a very tenuously held belief, since the reasonable part of me knows I'm just thinking myself better and the pill isn't involved...

So, things like this only work for people who are capable of 'double-think'!

btw, I have the Samick bracelet, with titanium, tourmaline, and something else in. I have never thought about its impact on my archery, but i like the stripes..

Who knows what works when mystical properties are abound..afterall..look at the OBeron tab material?
I talk to my bow...that seems to work. I talked to my last bow, but it couldn't take what I was saying and fell apart.

Don't know if in the context that you write if they any good or not.But i chopped the end of my thumb off some years back and the treatment consisted of sticking my hand under a magnet type thingy/machine every day for 4-5 weeks.I had no stitches and my thumb healed and grew some length back.I chopped 3/8" off and regrew 1/4" back.So my thumbs just an 1/8" shorter than original.

Just like oddjob in one of the carry on films

They do indeed, but the unfortunate caveat is that they only work if the illness was psychosomatic. For physical illnesses you need active ingredients.

But, archery is a frame of mind so if it makes ya think ya'll shoot better then maybe ya will!
